Father: Intellectually inept rageaholic.

This thread came about me hitting the age where I can relate to my parents on a mature level. I remember them when they were my age.

I hate that they tried to control me, well, for a while anyway until they realized it was futile.... actually until they both became raging alcoholics and stopped caring about whatever the hell i did. Which enabled me to skip school without them ever noticing...

I love my parents. Dad, RIP. I'm old enough to understand that parenting isn't a perfect science, and ppl make mistakes. It's life. Get used to it. They did the best they could.
