So the Terminator can't travel back thru time with anything that isn't covered in meat. They've made this point in each movie. So why don't they give him a suitcase covered in baloney? Oh, it has to be LIVING tissue. OK, give Arnold a glovebox then. Some gym shorts, a T shirt, and a pair of sunglasses would fit in there. Maybe some flip-flops too.
