I am taking a class now called Poetry and the Political Imagination which is all about poetry from wars and conflict. I just read a bunch of Anna Akhmatova who was a Russian poet during the Bolshevik Revolution. Amazing stuff.
It was from a book called "Poetry Like Bread." There are some amazing pieces from people I have never heard of.
