John Saunders passed away at age 61 on Wednesday 8/10. No details yet, but sources at ESPN said he had been feeling poorly for a few days prior. His wife found him unconscious and unresponsive early in the morning. He passed away around 4:00am.
I enjoyed watching him on
The Sports Reporters even if he was only moderating the discussion. And I got a kick out of him cheering on the Blue Jays, rooting for the Expos to return, and his informed discussions of hockey.
Seemed like a decent guy. Sort of in short supply in the media these days
