Thanks. I'm probably going to get a gastric sleeve in a year if my test show it might help and I can get proper flow in my intestines. With intestinal neuropathy, food over-digests in my small intestines because it doesn't move along. My massive overeating days seems to prove that.

Besides reducing the size of your stomach to a long tube, it cuts a gland that makes you hungry. After years of abuse and not giving a shit because I didn't lose weight no matter if I ate 1800 calories day and not gaining but 10 lbs a year eating 8000 calories, my stomach is all bent out of shape.

The banding will hopefully get the ball rolling as they think I need to reduce my intake to under 1000 calories a day to lose anything. Since the Lap Band is also used with the gastric sleeve, but doesn't re-route the digestive system like the bypass, it doesn't have the same malnutrition issues or digestive problems as the bypass and actually compliments the lap banding. The sleeve is proving very successful in Europe and just getting used in the US. I saw a documentary on it one night and couldn't believe how they solved the issue of possibly rupturing the gastric seam.
