This is one of my first memories. I was 6 years old, and in kindergarten. My cousin was staying with us at the time so I got to take the day off from school to hang out with him. We had a really good view of the shuttle launch from our house, about like what you see in this video. It was pretty traumatic at the time, especially compounded by the teacher on board.

Pretty crazy to watch video of it now, and realize it was 24 years ago. I honestly remember the entire day as if it were a few months ago.
