Airline High School English Teacher Lacey Oakes Arrested for Playing Inappropriate Sexual Games with Students

A 36-year-old teacher from Haughton,
Lacey Oakes, has been arrested for inappropriate behavior with students at a Bossier Parish high school. The Bossier Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into Oakes’ behavior with students, and according to reports, she showed sexual images to a student and played a sexually explicit game with several others. There was no evidence of sexual contact between Oakes and any of the students involved.
Oakes was taken into custody on a warrant and charged with one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and one count of Prohibited Sexual Conduct between Educator and Student. Her bond was set at $35,000. She is no longer employed by Bossier Parish Schools.
The arrest of Oakes is part of a recent wave of arrests of teachers in Louisiana. Authorities have been cracking down on inappropriate behavior by educators, and the public has been demanding greater accountability and transparency from schools.
