Worst sports bet ever!
 

The Africa Cup of Nations is on at the moment (a football soccer tournament). Angola are playing Mali. Angola are 4-0 up with 15 minutes to go. Some tool bet 4,400 POUNDS on Angola to win in the last 15 minutes of the game. Giving him a return of, (wait for it) 44.00. Forty four pounds for a 4,400 POUNDS gamble.
Incredibly Mali come back and draw the game 4-4.

I bet against the 1985 Chicago Bears. A friend of mine got drunk and gave me New England plus 35! The final was 46-10, in case you don't remember back that far. How the hell could anyone lose a 35 point spread? Me, that's who.
Also, it was the last sports bet I ever made. I don't even enter the NCAA pool anymore...

the steelers/packers game a few weeks ago fucked my out of $80ish in my pickem league in the LAST FUCKING 3 SEC!!!!!!

I like my little brother's bet of $50 that his Packers will win over my Cardinals. May not be "THE WORST"...but I'm sure it's up there in his "HUMILIATION BETS".

You see this type of stuff in horse racing all the time. It's called "bridgejumping". People bet thousands at 1/20 odds (a nickel for every dollar wagered).

funny that right after he made the bet their number 1 running back gets hurt and the final game the QB is out because of an eye injury
