Daniel, Silverchair's lead singer had laryngitis at the time of the performance but gutted it out anyway.

I think it's pretty fucking cool.

I hear after this performance Jay Leno convinced NBC to make him the new lead singer of Silverchair.



As a serious sidenote, my first job out of the Marines was selling home audio equipment at this store-speriment that Tandy/Radio Shack started called Incredible Universe. The Verve and Silverchair were in my demo CD case the whole month and a half I worked there before they closed the store down after Christmas.

how many of those were there? I remember when I moved to Arlington in 1997 and Incredible Universe closed down.....then Fry's opened in their spot.

I remember that place - I live about five minutes from there.

I think Tandy Corp spammed the US with like 350 of the IU stores, and ended up closing all but about 10 after the first Christmas. The one I worked at was in Charlotte and eventually became a Sam's Club.
