I have a couple new guys I can add. pimpandhost is one, but their interface takes getting used to.

Willing to take suggestions. Trying to avoid cash hosts though, it just invites foreign robots.

Short of hosting our own server or paying for a domain on an adult server (so they don't bitch about content), not sure what to do about this. :(

I was joking in that one post, :) it was a reference to our now dearly departed TOGIH. I have the server, I have multiple domains, I just don't have the ability to make the site. :o

I tried to pay someone to do it for madammeowpics, but they ripped me off. :(

There is of course a clunky way to do this. If you already have the domain(s), issue users their own subdirectory and ftp login info. They'd need an ftp client, but could upload images directly into their directories and use the urls to post here. It's not as elegant as the way the pro places do it, but it might work short term until we can find a way to set up more user friendly interface.

Guys please see the first post for a list of hosts you can play around with if you're in a pic posting mood.

Pimp has the largest thumbs, imagezilla has big ones. Postimage does the full size, just remember to use the "hotlink for forums" as opposed to thumbnails for forums. Imgbb has full size too, they call it hotlink as well, just note they automatically put line spaces in between the pics if you batch upload.

Okay, in re using ftp and subdirectories:

Where "domain.com" would be the subdirectory on Madam's server.

Problem is that you cannot, as far as I've been able to figure out playing around with the coding, resize the image to use as a thumbnail. The img code via [] as opposed to <> doesn't seem to allow it. So you'd have to have thumbnails already created to insert the link in the coding to get this effect:




But I'm still fooling around with it, I ain't licked yet :spin:

Need to catch up on rounds but will try to finish testing the rest of the hosts this weekend.

One thing I like about pixhost, is on mobile if you click one pick, you can use left and right arrows to scroll the rest of that gallery instead of opening pic by pic.

I don't really do this mobile, but I know imagebam didn't do that and I think it's a nice touch. :)

I think after this, we'll have more working hosts than before. We will survive.

I don't feel like doing all this. This seems more of a gather content site and community than an upload site.

Being a member, are you able to just random upload whatever you want, or do you have to be specific with tagging things so others can find?

I'm not a member but yeah it's more a of community than a pure hosting site that one has join to upload anything of adult content that doesn't violate the tos regarding minors and animals. As for tagging, I'm not sure if it's required to use tags.

I need to check other forums to see what hosts their members use. It's going to be hard press to find an alternative to imagebam because so many websites and forums use them.

I found a solution to bulk download the galleries from imgbox and imagebam to archive but it requires the ImageHost Grabber extension that's only for Mozilla browsers such as Firefox, SeaMonkey, Tor browser, and Comodo IceDragon.

An older version 1.6.5.5.1 can be found on Mozilla's addons
But imgbox is not listed as one of the hosting site in the old version and because the extension is not verified officially by Mozilla so the browser automatically disables ImageHost Grabber.

BUT there is a work around! Go here and follow these very simple instructions to create and install 2 js files.
Once you have done that then you are able to download and install any unverified firefox extension.

The latest version of ImageHost Grabber (1.7.0.4b) can be found here and both host files for imagebam and imgbox are listed. Tried, tested, it works on DSF! :D

It's even worse because a huge number of forums use imagebam. No other hosts comes even close to the features imagebam and imgbox that users can upload "hundreds" of images at a time, choose varying sized thumbnails, have codes for galleries and direct image links.

GOOGLE BACKUP & SYNC APP WILL HELP YOU MAINTAIN ALL YOUR COMPUTER FILES

Google wants to be better at backing up your computer’s files. While the company already offers a Drive folder that can be installed on your computer, soon Google will be able to back up and sync any folder that you point it to on your computer. If you want, it can back up your desktop, entire documents folder, and more. Or, you can get more specific and tell it to only back up a specific set of files on your desktop.

The new feature will begin rolling out to users starting on June 28 in the form of an app called Backup & Sync, and it will incorporate features from both the Google Drive and Google Photos backup apps. The app is aimed at regular consumers rather than business users — and Google recommends business users stick with the already available Drive app.

Not too much is known about Backup & Sync just yet, and we don’t know the full extent of what it will be able to do. One thing, however, is for sure — syncing your entire computer will likely count pretty quickly toward your Google Drive storage limits, which sit in at 15GB for the free version — although you can buy more.

It’s nice to see Drive getting some upgrades. The Drive app has been around for some time now, and while it has gotten minor upgrades over the years it has also gotten a little outdated. Another nice touch — and a necessary one — is that Google says your settings from the Google Drive app will remain untouched after the upgrade, so you shouldn’t have to worry about any of your files being lost or deleted during the switch. The integration with Google Photos is also a nice touch — and means that users should be able to more easily manage their photo libraries.

I sent imagebox a email asking if they could disable their "continue to image" so I could use image grabber to re-download my files. This was the reply moments ago.

I am beyond pissed. I made the effort to retrieve all the pages and pages of photos I had on imgbox. As I pulled them they were deleted. Now it's gonna stay, and all my photo links point to nonexistent photos. Even if I wanted, I couldn't put the photos back so the damn links were correct. Fuck me for listening to their post that they were going down. And fuck me for reporting it back here.

I just did an image count on my pc, and the image count is 87,271 combined .JPG, .PNG, and .GIF images. So you take off a hundred or so for duplicates, and another thousand pics of my dick that Frothy's Mother wanted*, and you still got an impressive count. So that would take my post count up to 1313. Maybe 1314.
So there, GF. Represent!
