I noticed were lacking in the hockey department so this will be the place to talk about anything hockey and I'm going to start things off....

What do you guys think of Roy's number 33 being retired by the Canadiens?

I think that's great since I have a Canadiens Roy jersey. Colorado could also retire his number since him and Sakic are the best players that franchise has had.

Roy's jersey is already retired by the Avalanche back in 05 I think? I think his stats deserve him to have his number in the rafters but a lot of fans aren't ready to forgive him yet...

oh yeah and It's my favorite to watch if and when it's actually on TV. It has speed, finesse, and violence like football only over a longer season with a brutal playoff stretch.

I am solely a Montreal Canadiens fan but I will root for any Canadian team except the Leafs if the Habs fall out of contention for the Cup

Yeah...The Sabres did get robbed...It was a dumb rule to begin with but the refs should have abided by it...

Haha yeah well I remember back in 2004 when I was in high school and you would swear everyone was a Flames fan but as a lifetime Canadiens fan, I'm starting to notice a lot more Habs fans than ever...

I am a devils and oilers fan. but in the age of free agency there are players with teams that i like but play on teams that i hate

As an Avs fan, it kills me to say this but the Red Wings will repeat this year.
Such a strong organization and there is absolutely no way they can lose.
I like the Caps to take the east but they will fall to Wings in the Stanley cup.

The biggest blow was losing Statsny to a broken arm, as well as LaPierre to his injury. Losing Footer and Joe was no big deal, and its sad to say that, but they are old. And not Chelios old, who seems to be a fricken monster still at his age, but old in the fact that they are not impact players aside from their names.

true that sakic is old but he still gets lots of points, and yea the broken arm was a big blow to the avs hes an up and comer and eats a lot of minutes and is a top 6 guy so that will be good if they make the playoffs and will be back for them

claude had that one big cheap shot, and i guess chelios annoyed me from the first game a saw, maybe. i hate tucker also and the avs have him now. i have to like the avs minus that dick
