Favorite Sandwich
C'mon, I know quite a few of us here are hungry bastards a.k.a. fat. We spend a lot of time in front of the computer, and a sandwich (for me) typically makes the best surfing food. So let's here 'em: What's your favorite sandwich?
I'm a big fan of Corned beef sandwiches. Hit me up with some Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese and spicy mustard on Sourdough or Rye. Shit's delicious. I think I have a full fledged soft-on just thinking about that sandwich right now. What about ya'll? |
A badass sandwhich sound alot better than the shitty broccoli, cauliflower, & chicken I had for lunch.
That's off topic though. My favorite sandwhich is probably roast beef & provolone on grilled & buttered sourdough bread. Philly cheesesteaks are also pretty badass if they're made right. |
I'm not fat, just big-boneded.
My favs are a cuban done right and pastrami on anything. |
Leroy: all those cruciferous veggies got to make your farts just something vicious, yeah? Downside to training?

It's more like eating healthy food and training are what I do in an effort to be less fat. You can't really go to the gym with a stomach full of pizza anyway, but if you did it would make gym time worthless. I don't want to come off as if I'm obsessed with fitness or anything. Look at my pictures. I'm probably 220 in those damn things. I just have to eat really well & workout all the time to stay around 180-190 which annoys the hell out of. I'm just getting back into going to the gym & eating right so hopefully I can be under 200 by the end of summer. |
Nothing better than sitting down with a big ole' Peanut Butter Jelly sandwich with some sweet tea
|
I'm partial to the Reuben - Pastrami (instead of corned beef), Sauerkraut, Swiss cheese & Thousand Island on dark rye bread.
|
Meatball-motherfuckin-sub with mozzerella. Real, none of that Subway shit.
Fuck Jared. |
Pittsburgh original Primanti Bros. Loose meat, cheese, french fries, tomatoes and coleslaw mashed between slices of fresh Italian bread.
|
That looks so delicious.

num nums
There is place in Southern California Called THE HAT. they serve the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had pretty cheap to. Love me a pastrami sandwich. That and a good Cheese steak.
|
Cubans with Plantain Chips and Monte Cristo's with Steak Fries and Honey Mustard...
|
fucking bologna and cheese, with mayo (not salad dressing)
|
Never met a sandwich I didn't like...
|
Place up in Binghamton NY, spiedie and rib pit, ask for the Buffalo style chicken spiedie.
pre-cubed, marinated grilled chicken, hot sauce, blue cheese, lettuce and tomato. so messy, so good. |
I gotta go with JawjaBill and DAS,nothing like a cuban made right. And a homemade breaded chicken cutlet on white with mayo salt and pepper.
|
A good Cubano is always great, but at least up here in the NW there are way more places that do them wrong than do them right. And Mohaman, I say take that chicken cutley though a little marinara, maybe some mots and a bit of basil, go for the Chicken Parm. But with Mayo, S&P, I'd only be missing the 'merican Cheese on that sucka'.

there's the tiniest, crappiest-looking deli in paramus, NJ called "Chick's" and it's the best deli ever. seriously, anything from there is amazing. but i always get the buffalo chicken sandwich (chicken, lettuce, buffalo sauce on a roll.)
|
Yeah man, but sometimes that white bread when it gets soggy with the cheese and it's gooey. It's pretty awesome. And I missed that DAS said earlier Monte Cristos. Those things are great man, but I have mine with Strawberry preserves. Normally don't dig the meat and fruit thing, but it's like meaty french toast! Best thing ever.
|
Pastrami and Swiss on Rye!! FTW?

I could live on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They make up a large part of my diet.

How about a traditional muffaletta? Thick sliced parma ham, genoa salami, swiss, and provolone all melted to a toasted muff loaf from Gambino's Bakery in New Orleans; topped (and bottomed) with a marinated olive salad of kalamata, nicoise, and green olive, celery, pimento, red onion, carrot, red wine vinegar, and olive oil. The last restaurant where I was executive chef sold about 30 of these a day.
The best part about working in restaurants is obviously all the free food. |
Need I repost pics of the "Fool's Gold Loaf?" :D
|
Without a doubt my favorite is the Monte Cristo
The Monte Cristo is a sandwich made of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese on batter-dipped fried bread. It is usually dusted with powdered sugar and served with raspberry preserves for dipping. |
Swenson's Galley Boy.

Best fast food chain burger? BKs steakhouse burger with bacon, cheese, fried onion straw, bbq sauce and mashed potatoes. I get moist just thinking about out.
Dont think I saw anyone mention it, so I gotta throw some love out there to the cheesesteak. Quite possibly the most versatile and delicious sandwich on earth. |

Here are a couple more simple ones for you guys that I loved growing up: 1) Grilled Peanut Butter WONT TASTE THE SAME IF NOT DONE IN THIS ORDER -Put peanut butter on white bread -THEN cram the whole thing into a bagel toaster 2) Grilled tuna -Make tuna out of a few (drained) packets of sunflower-oiled StarKist tuna, some malt vinnegar, pepper, diced onions and Hellmans mayo. -Either smear it on white bread with lettuce and eat, or put some mozzarella cheese on the bread and thow it in a frying pan until golden brown. |

With that said I gotta say I'm envious of you guys from chicago cause you get ready access to vienna beef hot dogs, chicago style (though not technically a sandwich). Who would think a dog with all that shit on it would be so damned good. |
