I am a recent amputee. This site has helped keep me from going insane with boredom. I live in the middle of nowhere, it's 70 miles one way to the nearest town of any size. I have a sick sense of humor, I had a one foot in the grave party before my surgery, and have really enjoyed reading the stuff in the forums.
