This one? She's very smart. It's like a cross between a Ostrich (which looks a lot like a cassowary) and a psychedelic toucan.

The next bunch are pictures from some animals we hatched at the zoo. Most of these I did not take. I was either holding them or not there. But these are animals I worked with and had something to do with breeding. Usually animals rarely or never before bred in captivity.
These are Quince monitors (Varanus melinus). They hatched shortly after I left the zoo.
This is the adult.

And the babies.

This is a Crested Gecko (Rhacodactylus ciliatus).

Lace Monitor (Varanus varius). My buddy Syd Vicious.

Leaf-tailed Gecko (Uroplatus fimbriatus).
They scream when you pick them up. It really puts you off. You immediately want to put them down because it is such a high shriek.

Tex, our Cayman Island Iguana (Cyclura lewisi).

TheSNakE 06-01-2010 03:05 PM

Madagascar Spiny-tailed Iguana (Oplurus cuvieri), just chillin. This photo was not staged. My buddy just caught him hanging out like that.
