Really lame suggestion/request, could the comics book sections get organized into sections for individual characters, a Superman section, Batman section, Deadpool section, or at lest a Marvel section, DC section etc. etc.

Ah. Okay. But why does anyone use those? Seems like posting stuff to USENET and then providing an .nzb file, or a key to a freenet resource, or a torrent is more resilient.

Then no one needs to wait for timeouts, worry about current stuff being axed, or a host being taken down. Most Usenet hosts have binary posts at least 3 years old and never delete anything. Usenet isn't a step backwards.

Freenet will let you post anything. All you then do is provide a resource key. It's a great dead drop system.

Usenet rocks. We used to pass files all over the place on usenet. It's public, but if no one knows what the hell anything is, you get a reasonable amount of security. Especially if the contents are encrypted. Back in the cold war era, usenet and fido net were the easiest ways to pass information in and out of sovbloc countries.

I'll say. I used UseNext for a long time, they have an excellent search feature built into their client app that finds the target in any group, even if it's not one you subscribe to. But they started getting pricey so I changed to newsgroupdirect. USD$5 per month for unlimited, SSL, and high speed. They send coupon codes for it every so often.

The nzb's are a must with newgroupsdirect because they don't have a global search feature (you use your own client app).

thats a good deal. i use Astraweb...$11, unlimited, SSL. i use Binsearch and a couple forums for searching.

I do have an OCD about it lol. It was such a relief to finally be able to add the freaking e to the end of my Ashlynn Brooke thread.

Other than that, Eccles, I've been moving threads that I knew were in the wrong section to where they really belong, and deleted threads I made that were only supposed to be posts in established threads.

Are you guys planning on reviving the DSFer of the month and the yearly poll as well?

Was the yearly poll what N2 started? I personally thought DSFer of the month was a great thing although I admit I wanted to be one. :o We have to wait a little bit for that until we get how to do the sig badges straightened out. A lot of us are overdue for a lot of different sig badges.

ugh, it takes forever to upload pics to TOGIH. Why can't you guys make an option to choose 20 files at once?

That's always been my main complaint. I used to load 40 thumbnails at a time in the random chicks thread using imagebam or the like, but when I'd load fullsize pics on TOGIH it would take forever. And that's when it was up.
