MickC has done a great job of posting this easy tutorial.
It enables you to see if all the links are active before you start downloading.
This will not only help everybody in their downloading and will make my job easier as well.
Great job and Thanks Mick!

RapidShare Link Checker Script for FireFox
Ever been to a site with Rapidshare links only to copy and paste and find out the links are no good? Here is a nice little script for GreaseMonkey (FireFox add on) that will save you alot of time. You will need FireFox web browser for this. The link for FireFox will be at the bottom of this post for those of you not using it already.
This is what the links would normally look like before...

Now with the script it will show you a nice little green checkmark if the link is good and also make it clickable even if it is inside of CODE tags.

And here is what it looks like when the RapidShare link is no good anymore.

First thing to do if you dont have this wonderfull FireFox add on called GreaseMonkey installed you can get it by going to the link below.
GreaseMonkey Add On

Once on that page, Click the 'Add To Firefox' button as shown below.

Once you installed GreaseMonkey you may be prompted to restart FireFox. Once you have restarted FireFox its now time to install the RapidShare Link Checker. You can get that by going to the this link below.

Once you are there click the 'Install This Script' button in the upper right hand side as shown below.

Once you do that a pop up will come up and click the Install Button and that is it. Hope you find this useful.
Here is the link to download FireFox if you do not yet have it.

I use Jdownloader, which checks the links before downloading. Has a bunch of other really cool features too.
Check it out:

Anyone else have a problem posting lurls after I loading this in to Firefox? I am unable to post coded links without them turning clickable.
I've tried it 2 times now where I start making a post and greesemonkey makes it clickable before I've hit submit. I open the page up in Internet Exploder and the link is clickable.

Edit: Just like that.
Quess I just need to diable it every time I post a link...

Yeah. Just disable the link checker script before you post the links. You can click on the monkey icon to disable greasemonkey completely, or right click and just disable the link checker.

for those of us too low-tech or too lazy to do the Greasemonkey script thing:
http://wgtools.com/link-checker/
I've only used this a few times, but so far so good. Invariably, shortly after I stumble across something like this, 7 or 8 other ones as good or better come to light. If you know of a better one, let's hear about it.

Still, with this one you have to actually go to this site and paste the links in.
With the linkchecker you do nothing... it is all automatic. A green check means the link is good.
